Starters who own a rental home in the city often lack the time, finances and energy to look into home insurance. It is difficult for them to get the most out of their home insurance. In fact. They often don't even know whether they have home insurance and what it entails.

The Challenge
I managed the design process for this project and protected the idea, background, and insights. I also conducted a lot of primary research and was instrumental in interacting with the target audience.
The Solution
To approach my target group I used a cultural probe. I drew up and developed these assignments. With this activity I went to the target group and afterwards conducted interviews in which I looked for what they know about home insurance, how they apply it and what their deeper thoughts were on this subject. I also worked on processing these insights and concepts, guiding various brainstorming methods and translating them into concepts.
The Result
An archive for your receipts. You can find items in your home contents in the archive collect by scanning the receipts. When you buy something online or in the store, you scan the receipt and place it in your archive. This reciept will then be approved by Aegon and you can check for yourself whether it is covered by your home insurance. When something happens, you can Easily check your item in the app and claim the damage at the touch of a button. When scanning the objects, you will also see this object in your digital home. You can collect these items and redecorate your rooms. For every item in your household contents that you scan, you will also receive a plant, tree or flower for your digital garden that matches your home. Also will You can see that Aegon plants a tree for you with every 25th scanned receipt. Receipt for Tree! It's quite strange, the target group only spends an average of fifteen minutes comparing or view home insurance policies. However, they like to have a end to it all, but they often choose a cheap premium. When we ask if they know what their insurer is doing offers or what their insurance does or does not cover, they can give a poor to moderate answer here.
The Transfer
In this project we provided a solution to the question: “How can we achieve the ideal create home insurance?” Our concept certainly has potential to be a solution for this. Based on our research, I think that the concept certainly fits the target group we have tried to tackle all pain points in the concept. The concept is also digital and should can also work well for the problem that currently exists. There are already people who have their receipts digital storage and there is no insurer that does not approve of this. It's definitely a stretch clearer and communication between policyholders and insurers is much easier. The concept will therefore certainly influence the use of home insurance among the target group. I think anyone who falls into that group would want to use this and apply it to their own home insurance. However, I think that the concept is still lacking in some areas. I think that the basis of the concept, the archive, is very strong. But there are a few features that are better could have been processed. For example, 'receipt for tree' is a very nice concept. It closes to the target group and Aegon is already making a budget available for sustainability.
